Gwenzongas

I was compelled to draw this after having a flashback to a memory of checking out Total Drama Island back when it was still fairly new, or at least in the states it was fairly new. It wasn't really my thing though, I remember I watched the first few episodes then just skipped to the end to see who won, and I was disappointed. Despite having skipped probably about ninety percent of the season, I still read the character bios on Cartoon Network's website, I knew who the characters were, what their motivations were, and why they wanted to win the prize money, I at least had enough interest in the series for that, so I knew right off the bat as soon as I started watching the final episode that Gwen was the one I wanted to win, because she wanted the hundred thousand dollar prize to help out her single mom while her opponent just wanted to throw a massive party with it, it wasn't a difficult choice but as said before, the result was ultimately disappointing, because she ended up losing. But the thing, that which was most disappointing of all, was that I wasn't even surprised, I had actually spent the episode calling it. At the time Total Drama was airing in America was an era in which the "Karma Houdini" and it's comedic foil the "Butt-Monkey" were, at least from my observation, really popular tropes for some reason, more so then than before or after that particular point in time. It was just kind of a rule in any TV show at the time that the character who deserves victory the most will be the least likely to receive it, and the finale to Total Drama Island was just kind of a cruel reminder of that, the fact that that was so prevalent in so many shows, making so many shows not that fun to watch. However, I am aware that there is an alternate version of the finale where Gwen does win, which was aired in some countries, so maybe now that I'm older I'll give the series another chance at some point and just watch that ending instead of the one my country got, considering that I haven't actually seen it since deciding I didn't like it when I was maybe twelve. I didn't like Samurai Jack, Hey Arnold, Harry Potter, or Sly Cooper when they were new either, those were all things I had to learn to appreciate with time. But until I actually feel like doing that, I'm reimbursing Gwen for the money she didn't win in the only way I know how, by giving her boobs that can earn a hundred thousand dollars several times over if she uses them right.
